1. After finding the best location for the smoke detectors.
2. cut a round hole 92mm round , same size as a down light.
3. 9v smoke detector insert straight into the ceiling like downlight, 12-24v or
   240v smoke detectors connect the wires to terminals and then insert into the ceiling.
